My main short going into this week is $HGRAF. The stock just had a parabolic breakout move from the $3 range all the way up to almost $9. That’s the type of move I usually look to fade.

I’ll be looking to get short anywhere above $6.30, but ideally close to $7. The company did two offerings last week, issuing shares and warrants, and it looks like a lot of those shares were dumped into the market right away. My risk is the mid $8’s on this trade.

I don’t think it gets anywhere close to those highs again, but the one wildcard would be if the company announces an uplisting to Nasdaq, which could push it higher.

Last week I shorted a small position in the $7’s and covered it on Friday. After that I flipped long for a quick trade with a couple thousand shares in and out during the day. I’ll be selling the rest tomorrow. All in, I will close around $4.5k on that.

That was the main trade.

Most of my $GLASF position has been closed, which will bring the closed profit to about $5.5k. I still have 1,000 shares short that I may cover soon so I can free up the buying power to short more HGRAF.

I also still hold 10,000 shares of $TAKOF. That stock has been chopping around a lot lately, so I’m just holding the position for a potential breakout unless I get a dip down into the low $0.50’s where I’d look to add.

Outside of that, I started a couple new positions:

• $UAMY – bought 500 shares at $10

• $NPPTF – bought 4,800 shares

I’d like to build the NPPTF position up to around 10–15K shares. The company mainly holds bitcoin, but it also has exposure to xAI and SpaceX, which could make it interesting later in the year.

My current risk levels:

• NPPTF: around $0.45

• UAMY: around $8

Some names I’m still watching as they consolidate: SES, PRSHF, WWR, OPEN, PLUG, BBAI, ABAT, CIFR, TAKOF. Honestly, nothing looks amazing right now. Silver has been on an absolute tear.

I’m short a few thousand shares of APGO.VN (APGOF) Nothing aggressive, which I will probably cover in the morning with silver still being strong. The best risk/reward setups I see at the moment are BBAI and PLUG, both of which I’ll likely position into this week. These names are heavily shorted, and if BBAI starts pushing toward $7, there’s room for a squeeze toward the $9 area.

RR broke out of consolidation today on Microsoft news. Another heavily shorted name showing strength.

I’m not seeing any standout crypto setups right now either. Sometimes the best trade is staying liquid and waiting for clean opportunities.

One day trade I’m watching for tomorrow: GMGMF, looking for a bounce toward the $2.10 area risking todays low of 1.75ish.

Boring profits. Patience first.

Other names I’m watching for potential swing setups include BBAI, BITF, SES, IONQ, JOBY, XPEV, BTQ, AERG, NPPTF, MHUBF, GSIT, and NEXCF. These are all showing signs of their moving averages starting to stack, which is something I like to see before entering.

On the short side, I’m watching UURAF and GLASF. UURAF has run roughly 75% recently and is now pushing into resistance, so a pullback wouldn’t be surprising. GLASF stands out as one of the few cannabis names that hasn’t fully retraced back to its post-hype lows from late last year.

FNMA has been hit hard and pushed down into the mid-$8s, slicing through its moving averages. If it dips into the low $8s to high $7s, I’ll be watching closely for a bounce or swing setup.

Out of everything on my watchlist right now, FLTVN (TAKOF) still looks like the cleanest swing opportunity with more volume coming in.

Kicking off 2026 with a swing trade I took recently. This is simply a record of what I did and why. This is NOT a recommendation.

The Trade

I bought FLT.VN after it spent the better part of six months going nowhere and then started to show signs of life above the 0.60 area.

Why I Took It

1. Sector momentum
There’s been money rotating into drone-related names lately. A few of them have already made strong moves, and this one looked like it was lagging while building a base.

2. News sensitivity
With geopolitical uncertainty back in focus and NATO being a constant headline, I’m paying attention to companies that could react to defense-related news. Volatus has exposure here, which made it more interesting to me.

3. Structure
Price had been consolidating for months and recently held above 0.60. That gave me a clear area to define risk without needing a wide stop.

Risk

My risk on the trade is roughly 0.56, which works out to about $5k CAD if I’m wrong. Position size was set with that in mind. If it loses that level, I’m out — no story, no hope.

How I’m Thinking About It

If the stock continues to hold and push higher, I’ll look to scale out into strength rather than trying to predict a top. If it rolls over, I’ll respect the risk and move on.

Some trades work. Some don’t. The goal is staying consistent and protecting capital.
